Squee, so we have the poll moving. Next thing, I was thinking...

I was thinking maybe we should hold auditions for high positions of people who aren't already here. Maybe we should set a date where, if the people who hold the high positions aren't here, we'll wipe all of the unclaimed positions and start from scratch. People who already have deputy positions could try for leader, etc. Maybe I'm rushing things, but I think that if we can start roleplaying as soon as possible, then it'll attract more members. A site with active roleplay seems like an active site. Maybe Shade will come at some point, but as much as I'd love to, we can't wait forever for her if we want this site to stay strong. It won't be long before people already on here start dropping off one by one. Why, the other day I forgot this place existed. We need to get things up and going quick so we all can be reassured that this will work, and BRC will go on.

I kinda agree with that... I mean, it'd suck if you were a leader and you went on vacation or something and you come back and your position's gone.. But it's not fair for inactive people to have the positions.. And yeah, more people might want to join up if they see open auditions. Plus, what if some of the people with high positions aren't coming to v4? It'd be a waste of time to keep their position occupied.
So then I second the auditions thing.

I've told Spice and Fern that a new BRC is open, so it is there choice if they don't come back, not that they didn't know. I think that once we get auditions going, which I agree should be soon, we should also advertise a lot... But yehhh... I THIRD THE AUDITIONS. Bring it onnnnn! (:

About one person accepting each Clan - I've been on a site before that did that and I didn't like it much (it's only my opinion, but let me explain-). I made a character but I had to wait forever to get it accepted because the Clan leader was on an extended vacation. I think that Clan leaders should indeed be permitted to accept biographies, but not just those of their own Clan, so if one is gone then the others can handle it. Plus, who would accept rogue/loner, kittypet, starclan and deathclan bios? So...yeah. Maybe we could also have some appointed officials who we trusted that could accept biographies. We might not find those until later, but it's something to keep in mind.

One more thing: I think we should add something to the rules board that explains which positions are permitted to do what. Such as leaders and moderators (the "appointed officials," obviously) can accept biographies and enforce rules, and so on. <3

Shardy-la, I like how you think.
The first part, I mostly agree with. I think all leaders and admins should be able to except loner, rogue, and starclan bios. As for the clan bios... For each clan, I think any head admins, the leader, and the deputy should be the ones to accept bios. That way, if the leader is on vacay, for example, the deputy can still accept bios, plus admins. And if there is some weird coincedence where they are all gone, the leader should say specifically who they'd like to accept bios for them, mostly likely just another clan leader.

And the last part, I definitely agree with. Especially during the last months when I was a mod or whatever, I had no idea what I could and couldn't do, and Shade wasn't too specific about it. Even as a clan leader sometimes I wasn't sure about certain things. This way everyone knows what their limits are.

Oh, I also propose that the codewords in the rules should be changed. This is a new site after all, we should have new words. And I think we should actually change it every few months, so people can get regular looks at the rules.

I updated the news and weather. >w< I didn't delete any of the admins in the sidebar yet, because I figured that we'd want to wait. ^^

Also, maybe we chould go through and accept all those bios now. I'll make a record of whose positions are saved. Also, I have the codes for the sidebars (like the highlighty stuff) saved in a Notepad file, so I'm free to take care of those things now that Aurrie can't...

Well, I still talk to aurrie on facebook, and she is not coming back, because she had given up all RPs, except for one pokemon one. She actually told me that shade belongs to the site too, and she has not shown up there either. So yeah, I deleted her banner.

Yeah, that's a good idea.. I really want to start RPing again :]

Hey, guys. Sorry for not posting here sooner. It's been like hell around my house the past few days.

Anyways, just putting my two-sense in. All leaders/mods should be able to accept bios, not have to wait for the leader to. That's not fair to the person whom wants to plat their character.

The audition date sounds good. I need to find a new deputy since Aurrie's not coming back, so that'll be good for me...

I think we should have slightly different rules here... I don't know about all of you, but my literacy level has gone up, and some people who are semi-lit annoy me most of the time xD. Just ponder on that a bit....

Also I'm in the process of making a high position check as I type. ^^ I also updated a little more on the sidebar. Should we take down all of our old affiliates and start from scratch?
