swiftkit ...... Another glorious, sun-kissed day...spent in camp, as usual. But this did not bother the golden tabby kit who stood in the threshold of the nursery. He streached his long limbs, reaching out and bowing down. He arched his back, curling his striped tail so that it almost touched the top of his head. Swiftkit then proceeded to go through his daily routine; padding to the fresh-kill pile for a morning meal. His hunger was not great, so he selected a small thrush. After is stomach was comfortably full, Swiftkit stood again, gazing towards the medicine cat den. He swept his tongue around his chops, ears pricked. The tom padded quietly into the den of Emeraldmyth, allowing his gaze to wander about the den. "Emeraldmyth?"

A dark form was curled up next to stacks of sweet and bitter smelling herbs, her dark brown stomach rose and fell slowly in a light slumber. A small voice echoed to the back where a small fern tunnel separated the small clearing from her den and a storage for the herbs. Bright emerald green eyes fluttered open in alarm as her name was called, her head shot up as she tried to process why exactly she was where she was. The familiar kits voice scratched into her thoughts and cleared them, she had fallen asleep while sorting through herbs again.
She yawned deeply and stretched out her sore limbs, her pretty dark brown tabby pelt was still a little dusty as her white paws stepped into the moist ground. Her pretty eyes were still filled with sleep as she padded toward the den, a small happy smile spread across her lips as she saw the golden tabby tom.
"Why, hullo there, Swiftkit. What brings you here today?"
Emeraldmyth tried to blink away her sleepiness but failed miserably. Her wise emerald green eyes still glowed with the usual life that was held inside of her. She liked the kit and loved how he seemed to be so interested in medicine cat stuff, it really made her think about Swiftkit's future.

swiftkit ...... Swiftkit flicked his ears in a silent apology for waking her. His large amber eyes glowed with awe, fondness, and pure delight. The tom sat, wrapping his thick tail around his paws. "Just wondering if you needed help with anything..?" Swiftkit was aware of how close he was to becomming an apprentice. The thought of the ceremony made his whiskers quiver with anticipation. He wanted to prove to Emeraldmyth, and his clan leader, too, that he was capable of the role of medicine cat apprentice. Oh, what it would be like to be medicine cat! The honor of helping his clanmates, the wisdom, the respect. The fact that he would not be able to take a mate did not worry Swiftkit much, not now at least.

Emeraldmyth licked the tom-kit between his ears after his silent apology, her thoughts were gathering to why she had even fell asleep in the storage clearing. She was sorting herbs, very tired from running around in the forest trying to get the numbers stocked up. And little Widowkit still suffered from white-cough. She was working to hard, but she knew she would drive herself like this as the cold weather began to show. It scared her from the last snow storm. The willowy medicine cat shook her head to clear it as the drowsiness left her slowly, her bright green eyes looked around the small clearing to see what there was that needed to be done. A slight determination echoed through the kits voice and it made her smile gently.
"Well, I still have to tend to Widowkit, maybe you could help me with that. Though he's gonna be a fuss saying he's alright, if you kind find it, would you like to get the catmint?"
Emeraldmyth thought about Swiftkit's age and when he was going to become an apprentice. She wasn't sure if she needed an apprentice at the moment but she could really use the help. She put the thought in the back of her head to contemplate over.

A foul curse was let out at the entrance of the camp, the figure of the leader soon following the sound of her voice into the camp clearing, limping on three paws while she held her front left up above the ground, lowering it slightly every now and again to test how much pressure she could put on it. Placing her paw down again and stepping forwards, the brown and white she-cat hissed in pain before biting her tongue and heading towards the sweet-smelling den that Emeraldmyth tended to those injured and ill. "Emeraldmyth? I hope I'm not interupting things...but it may seem as though I've messed up my paw... Again"
Fadedstar gave slight chuckle as she nosed her way into the medicine den, pausing as she noticed the small form of Swiftkit. A grin spread across her features at the little tom. Limping forwards more, she gave the medicine cat a sheepish smile, glancing down again at Swiftkit. "Hello, little one. I hope you aren't ill, and just visiting Emeraldmyth here. I hear it's almost time for your apprentice ceremony" She said with a wink, cornflower-blue eyes sparkling slightly before she turned towards the medicine cat, tipping her injured paw towards her with a sheepish grin.
"I swear, I get more injuries now that I'm leader then I did as deputy or as a warrior"

swiftkit ...... The tom scrabbled off, eager to please Emeraldmyth. He nosed his way into the storage space, breathing in deeply and carefully tasting the scents of the different herbs on his tongue. He picked up on the tangy scent of what he thougth was catmint; yet another herb also smelled like it. This herb was tansy, but Swiftkit could not remember that. He edged towards the tansy, noting it's leaf size and shape. He bent down to take a wiff of the leaf, but stood up once more, wrinkling his nose. He turned to he catmint and took two stalks in his jaws, confident he had made the correct decicion. Swiftkit padded back into the main part of the den and stood beside Emeraldmyth. He set the herb at his paws to nod at Fadedstar, his amber eyes bright with a smile. Yes, close indeed. He was so apprehesive to know who his mentor would be!

emeraldmyth
remember all the things we wanted now all the memories they're haunted we were always meant to say good-bye Emeraldmyth gave a small chuckle as Fadedstar came in, her expression filled with a light-hearted smile but her eyes were serious enough to take a look at her leaders paw. The dark brown tabby prodded at the hurt paw that the leader would not place on the ground. A frustrated look crossed her expression as she tried to think of what Fadedstar might of done.
"What exactly did you do to make you hurt it... Again?"
The pretty she-cat twisted towards Swiftkit as he brought the catmint, she nodded thankfully at the kit and turned back toward the brown and white leader. Emeraldmyth's wise green eyes flashing serious yet amused light.

iridescentsight can I pose a question, how do you kill what is dead? I just shoot from the hip and I aim for the head. he used to be your friend, that was another life, with this single bullet, we're gonna blow his mind
[/blockquote] Ow, ow, ow. The small she-cat had returned from hunting, realizing that her scars had burst open, from falling and tearing the scabs off them -- they've bled before. It hurt. Bad. So she went to the medicine cat's den as fast as she could. She flicked her ears, the torn half of one was waving in the wind. Iridescentsight found that quite annoying. As she neared the medicine cat den, she thought that Emeraldmyth might be busy. But it was worth a shot anyway. "Hey, Emeraldmyth? Can you fix this?" Iridescentsight mewed, her small voice echoed in the cave, although she didn't say things very loud. Or try to make them echo, like it did when she screamed. Her nose twitched randomly, but she couldn't help but snicker. "Oww..." She hissed, biting her tongue, but she couldn't handle that. She'd scream out in agony. But she clenched her teeth, and kept any sound from erupting from her throat.

swiftkit ...... The kit beamed as Emeraldmyth turned towards him. As her attention leapt back to the injured leader, his look of joy was swept away, now mirroring Emeraldmyth's serious look. He sat quietly behind her as she examined Fadedstar, blinking encouragingly whenever he cought the she-cat's eye. He leaned foreward just slightly, cocking his head to watch her work. Another warrior hobbled into the medicine cat den. Iridescentsight. He squirmed behind her, halting beore the newcommer. "Hi-ya, Iridescentsight." He mrrowed in a friendly manner. His whiskers twitched in pity for her open wounds. He hoped to distract her from them, giving Emeraldmyth a few moments more to deal with Fadedstar. "How's the prey running?"

iridescentsight . Can I Pose A Question? How Do You Kill What Is Dead? I Just Shoot From The Hip And I Aim For The Head
"Hi! Eh, it's okay.." Iridescentsight replied to Swiftkit. She blinked, the pain ebbing away from her wounds. Especially the ones on her face. Only the faint trace of pain was left, and that was okay, she guessed. The grass blew in the wind, along with stray wisps of loose dirt that was carried by the wind. It looked like tan smoke. But Iridescentsight didn't really care. Iridescentsight flicked her striped tail, and thought, but those thoughts led to a painfull flashback. She had felt a strange feeling in her chest, like when you see something you don't like randomly, and your stomach goes warm for a few quick seconds. Did this really have to happen now? She scowled slightly. "Sorry, random flashback." She murmured. Iridescentsight was embarassed deeply. Why her? It was the way StarClan made her. Stupid StarClan, she really wanted to scream out, but she couldn't. It would be sinful.
Iridescentsight let out an icy breath, that was now visible. Was it getting colder? The small she-cat sighed. She could nearly feel the cold like it was on her skin but it was only the faintest hint. She crouched, pulling her paws underneath her. "Is it just me, or is it colder now?" She asked Swiftkit. The wind blew in the direction of the den, blowing random scents towards them. And it made her feel the cold, like it was water, seeping straight into her pelt. Very cold water at that. She sighed. She had to get through a few moons of this. And that would be fun, wouldn't it? Not at all. She thought, trying to avoid that stupid flashback she had earlier. And she grazed the edges of having it again, and it wasn't going to be funny, not that it ever was, if she had it again. She wanted to try to make the thoughts dissappear.
She let out one more icy breath, and it disappeared swiftly. She blinked, again. Iridescentsight paid no attention to her wounds, as the pain came and went, then soon stopped -- again, all together. At the same times, the bad thoughts erupted into her mind, and she fought to push them back into that vault whom's door was open, and you could peer into it easily, but see no end in sight. Thanks to whatever was in her mind, she had to deal with that for the entire day. She still stayed anchored to her spot, although she wanted to leave. Iridiescentsight rested her head on her paws, as she waited, patiently. This might be a while..She thought. Maybe this'll take my mind off this. She added. The wind had stopped, and it suddenly got a bit warmer. Although that didn't stop her mind from being filled with bad thoughts.
Iridescentsight finally pushed away her bad thoughts. Back into the hole where they came from. She swore to stay away from that vault, unless she wanted to have a bad day. No, she didn't want to have a bad day, so she put the length of the entire silverpelt, where as, the twolegs put it, billions, or maybe more miles wide. It was better that way. She smiled, and flicked her tail, while she was in deep thought. She looked outside, to the clearing. It wasn't big, of course, she knew that, and always knew that. It honestly didn't matter though.
ooc| omg this is gonna be a big post. lol. Hmm... This might be one of the biggest posts I've ever made. xD

swiftkit ........ The large kit blinked, pulling an ear back at Iridescentsight's actions. He swept his tongue around his chops nervously, but kept a cool expression. She is fine, he asured himself. Just chills. "Maybe." The cat mewed, casting Emeraldmyth a long glance. He surveyed her work on Fadedstar, his eart clenching in awe. She was so gentle when working with injured cats! He could only hope someday he could show the same care and concern. But for now, he only turned back to the small she-cat before him. He had not heard her previous murmurings. "What happened, by the way?" He asked, peering at her wounds. It appeared that they had healed almost fully, but from too much activity, had ripped open again. Ouch. He wondered why the she-cat had not kept them supple with a pulp of healing herbs of some kind.

Don't fret precious I'm here, step away from the window Go back to sleep Lay your head down child I won't let the boogeyman come "It was from when I was an apprentice... There was a fight. And I got hurt. So... from time to time, my scabs get torn off, and it bleeds. I don't know how the scars ripped open again, but they did." The she-cat meowed, twitching her tail in amusement. "Why?"
Iridescentsight asked, suddenly suspicious. "Or, if you want to know what happened in my flashback, I'll tell you in a second, okay?" She flicked her tail lazily. The earth couldn't make up it's mind. Soon, it had changed to a hot, sweaty day. It was starting to agrivate her a bit. Iridescentsight blinked away the sweat that had began to threaten to sting her eyes by dripping into them, so she simply blinked it away. Her tail sweeped along the floor slowly. Iridescentsight opened her jaws in a yawn, snapping them shut with a loud clink. "Sorry..." She whispered, embaressed. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

emeraldmyth
remember all the things we wanted now all the memories they're haunted we were always meant to say good-bye Emeraldmyth glanced outside her den, at the entrance was Iridescentsight talking calmly with Swiftkit. Her wise green eyes sparkled with approval for the kit as he distracted her from the cuts on her back the where oozing blood. A sigh shifted through the young medicine cats lips as she glanced at Fadedstar's hurt paw that wasn't anything but hurt, again. The dark tabby female came to a decision as she looked doubtfully at the small warrioress.
"Excuse me, Fadedstar, but I'm going to have to get to you in a second since your not loosing any blood."
Emeraldmyth hurried herself to the back tunnel to where the storage of herbs were, a bittersweet scent was very strong back here. The pretty medicine cat picked out sticky white thread that was well known as cob web, she also picked out a pretty golden flower. She eyed the poppy seeds and decided to grab at least three for the warrioress's pain. Emeraldmyth hurried back out and dropped the herbs by Fadedstar and beckoned to Iridescentsight to come to her. The dark tabby female trotted to the back of the clearing and shredded some moss off one of the ash trees. She darted quickly through the fern tunnel to where a small river was, she carefully dipped the moss in and darted back to the main den clearing trying hard not to drip any water.
