I'm your biggest fan I'll follow you until you love me papa, paparazzi Tension and panic hung in the fresh morning air as a small group searched every corner of the forest, the day seemed like a new start which the large silver and white tom didn't want. Deliriumfoot scented the air again at his feet, no trace of the silvery tom that was the medicine cat. There had been the slightest scent of Wovenstar but they had lost it long ago. Worry and panic were intense in his dark pine green eyes, Deliriumfoot kept telling himself they'd find Wovenstar or she's just waiting at camp wondering where her deputy is. His heart knew it wasn't true but his mind kept telling him what it did. The large deputy was in complete denial as they walked further through the forest, the tom could hear birds chirping happily off in the distance and little scuffles of feet somewhere in the ferns but his mind of to lost to hunt or pay attention to them.
The large silver and white layored tom looked over to his companions, his eyes looking hopefully at Orochiclaw then the other young warrior.
"Have you found anything yet?"
ooc :// should they find her dead or not find her at all?

ooc;; I think they should find them dead. It would just be more defining for Deliriumfoot to get his lives.

Orochiclaw had raced forward, sniffing fronds, but only caught a stale trace of Wovenstar, and no scent of Dancinghare. He trotted back to Deliriumfoot. "I caught a stale scent of Wovenstar, but I haven't seen her or Dancinghare." He padded away, going farther. A bird leaped up out of the bush, frightening Orochiclaw, who fell backward. He shook the dust out of his pelt, and continued on.
"I'm going to check farther up here." He called back. Orochiclaw continued on, sniffing the air and looking for pelts. He noticed a snag of silvery fur on bracken, and when he sniffed it, he recognized Dancinghare's scent. He looked around again, and spotted darker fur, which belonged to Wovenstar. "Deliriumfoot! Come quick! I think I know where they went!" He followed the trail, but was brought up short when he reached the Steel Yard. "No..." He picked his way across carefully, and when he corssed the yard, he noticed more fur. He was on the trail.
Orochiclaw continued on, sniffing the air and following the path. He was about to continue, when the smell of rats overcame him. He had reached a place infested with rats. Orochiclaw knew he must go carefully. He padded forward, unsheathing his claws and looking around for any flash of the gray pelts of rats. His paw stumbled onto something when he passed a bramble patch. He looked over and noticed fur. It was a paw! "Deliriumfoot!! Come here, now!" He grabbed the paw and pulled it out gingerly. When he noticed who it was, he dropped the paw and back away disbelievingly. "No... Oh, what have they done to you.." He leaned down and sniffed the pelt, recognizing the scent of death, but underneath, rat blood. The rats had killed Dancinghare. He shook his head, grief overwhelming him. Dancinghare must have followed Wovenstar, and tried to protect her against rats. He sniffed the air again, and could smell Wovenstar.
Padding on more carefully now, muscles tensed for the attack of rats, Orochiclaw pushed his way into the bramble. What he saw made him cry out. "Wovenstar! No!" Her pelt was laced with claw marks, and the ground around her was soaked in blood. Orochiclaw noticed that the rat scent was stronger on her than it was on Dancinghare. He grabbed her scruff and pulled her out of the brambles. He lay her down beside Dancinghare and looked for Deliriumfoot.
It wasn't fair. How could Starclan take away their leader and medicine cat? It was cruel. Orochiclaw was so consumed in grief that he didn't notice the creeping sounds in the bracken. His head was down when he heard it. Pricking up his ears, he heard squeaking as well. "No. You're not getting me as well." Grabbing both scruffs, he dragged the two cats out of the area as best he could, and got away before the rats attacked. He manuvered through the Steel Yard, and reached the forest. "Deliriumfoot." He gasped. "The - the rats killed them." He told the deputy.
The world felt numb around him as the realization set in. He was surrounded by the leader, deputy, and medicine cat, but only one lived. "Deliriumfoot, you are our leader now. You must tell the clan what has happened." He dipped his head respectfully, before turning his eyes back on the two dead cats. "We should get them home now." He mewed quietly, before shaking his head and padding away a few paces. [/blockquote]

I'm your biggest fan I'll follow you until you love me papa, paparazzi A small line placed itself on the large deputy's mouth, of course there would only be a faint trace of the leader. A deep sigh escaped Deliriumfoot's lips as he nodded toward the stumbling warrior, his green eyes keeping glances toward Orochiclaw as he walked away. The silver and white tom started to walk deeper into the trees, his eyes wondered to a dark orange movement. His first thought was Orochiclaw was still with him but then he focused on the amber form that was a little off his path. The cat didn't have a white head. The blur stopped suddenly and bright leafy green eyes stared back at him with a proud sadness.
Orochiclaw's voice made him look back, his dark green eyes widened in panic as he turned back to the disbelieving form of Bloodstream. She was gone. Deliriumfoot quickly turned back hearing the warriors voice again, panic fluttered like a caged bird inside of him. His quick trot turned into a run until he hit the edge of Steel Yard. Oh no, even before he took a couple steps into the sharp yard he scented rat. The large tom stepped carefully, deeper into the dangerous yard. His sudden sight of the red and white warrior sunk his heart.
The flash of green eyes that expressed proud and sad emotions flashed into his head. She knew and she tried to warn me for what Orochiclaw's news was, the sudden realization brought another shocked thought to his head. He wouldn't think of it though, it wouldn't help the grief that was weighing over him. The silver and white deputy stepped back until he felt a sharp piece of metal sink into his back paw. Numbness fell over him and he didn't feel the pain the followed when he took his paw out. Deliriumfoot turned and stepped into the forest to wait for Orochiclaw.
Deliriumfoot heard the warriors next words and a shield of despair crushed into him, his body felt suddenly very tired as his eyes cast upon the dead bodies of the medicine cat and leader. He let out a long breath that he hadn't realized he'd been holding. With sad, scared eyes the large male took the scruff of the dark silver leader and headed toward camp. His numb head trying to find the words to tell the clan that their leader was dead.

Orochiclaw walked beside the deputy, carrying Dancinghare. "Deliriumfoot, I know this is hard, but you'll pull through. We'll all pull through. And don't forget, even though you're leader now, you'll still have your friends to help you." He flashed the tom a glance, before looking down at the ground again.
It was so agonizing, feeling the pain that he knew he'd have to help Deliriumfoot share with the rest of the clan. He wanted to go up to Starclan, grab the two spirits, and shove them back into their bodies. It just wasn't fair! He knew he had to stop whining about it to himself, but he knew it just wasn't fair that Starclan took two cats so important to the clan.
